My friend invited me to see indie rock artist Mac DeMarco live in Amsterdam! While I’m not their biggest fan, I can appreciate their impact on the bedroom pop genre. Mac DeMarco is commonly recommended alongside artists like Clairo and Cuco for their “lofi” or “bedroom” aesthetic. This video essay by YouTuber Doco eloquently describes the genre’s appeal:
I arrived early morning via Amsterdam Centraal Station.
